5 Minute interview for                          company.

Devon Taylor interviewed by Graham

-Who are you?

-Devon Taylor aka Jolly aka Dev by my close friends.

-How are you?

-I'm doing well feeling alot better about shit right now alot has been happening over these past couple of weeks, so my mood has just been on the up and up which is great to see I'm happy for myself

-How are your friends and family

-Yeah, they are all good I think alot of them are just excited to be out of January you know begging to see the sun again its nice yeah, my crew is good, and my family is doing well keeping busy.

-So, Devon, how’s the start of 2023 been for you specifically?

-It’s been better things are looking up, been keeping myself busy with shit I been working on since last summer and it’s just nice to see alot of my ideas come to fruition you know.

-What made you want to do an interview like this?

-I guess I just haven’t really done anything like it before and am just trying to get comfortable with new experiences, but you seem cool I'm glad you took the time to talk to me I appreciate it.

-New experiences, what do you mean by that?

-Just really trying to get out of my comfort zone alot, you know talking to new people making connections with dope artists and shit, just putting myself out there to be seen it feels good

-What's been occupying your time the most lately?

-Mostly just been working on the take-off of this company you know, getting shit out there as much as possible, like the radio station is up now and running 24/7 got my friend running that which is cool, new clothing dropped on the site as well people are liking it I’m getting good reception from most people on that so yeah I’m pretty happy, and then of course trying to keep my social life alive as well and not being such a hermit all the time, I'm getting better at it but still could see the sun more I guess.

-We were curious, what made you want to do an interview?

-I’m doing more lately. In an effort to do more, I feel like alot of people don't actually know that much about me and I feel like an interview on a personal level is a good start you know. plus, it’s a good way to record my thoughts for right now as that is subject to change as time goes on.

-The decision to do more, how did that come about?

-As an Ex lazy person I always strive to do alot more now as life is shorter than you can imagine so why not try your hand at everything while you can and not regret anything, the only regrets I'll have at the end of my life are the times I didn't try so for right now I’m gonna do as much as possible and not think too much about it I guess.

-What are you thinking of trying next?

- if we're talking about like right now next thing, I'll be doing mostly is probably just organising people to be a part of my idea you know getting as many heads involved as possible and taking all the help I can get

-What inspires you to do all the things you are doing now?

-I hate that question I just like to do shit for me and have fun, not take shit to seriously.

-What about in the future, what venture can you see yourself doing?

- I don’t know, I’m a huge fan of steel work and design so potentially some furniture designed by me would be cool or some custom jewellery would be dope too.

-What is the quality all your close friends have in common?

-Being reliable as fuck.

-Do your friends help you alot with your work?

-I mean sure, of course, everybody that I work with I like coz otherwise I wouldn't be working with them you know

-Do you work with a lot of people?

-It depends what you define as worked with because I make shit with a bunch of different people, alot of it may not be up to my standard and may not ever see the light of day but I have worked with hundreds of people in the past alot of the stuff just doesn’t get released you know, it’s about getting the select few where work booms out at the highest quality consistently and its about finding those people that’s the hard part

-Are there anybody right now you want to work with the most?

-I want to work with more musicians as I feel like I've barely dabbled in the music scene much and have alot to offer creatively to certain artists that I know.

-Are there any people in your life right now occupying your time, loved ones, friends, relationships?

-I mean I don't think I'd be good at relationships right now I think I would suck alot as a partner for real. Like I like to be alone alot otherwise I just don't get shit done you feel? But I will always make times for my friends shit, like me and my friends go to gigs all the time hit up bars and shit, I'll always make time for my guys always, my brother too.

-What can we expect coming next from the Mendid Brand in the foreseeable future?

-Just alot of shit dropping on the website, alot of new upcoming artists, I'll be putting alot of their work on there, I'm in contact with alot of cool people right now so some dope shit is definitely coming you can believe in that. Maybe some events as well with some dope artists some rappers, singers, musicians all that good shit it’s gonna be something to watch, I'm sure.
